In this conference, you will learn to understand the importance of palliative care in cancer. Palliative care is meant to improve the quality of life for patients with serious or life threatening disease such as cancer. It can be given with or without curative care. Palliative care is an approach to care that addresses the person as a whle not just the disease.
Managing the physical, emotional, social and financial effects of cancer is called palliative and supportive care
It is an important part of a person’s overall cancer care. Palliative and supportive care can be given in radiation to treatments to slow down, stop or cure the cancer.
There will be seven renowned researchers, medical doctors and experts from Malaysia, India and South Korea in their respective fields presenting to you their expertise.
